We are all about the numbers here at CLS.™ We know how important it is for our clients to receive accurate billing from us the first time, EVERY time. We take pride in our easy-to-read invoices with zero unauthorized charges. That’s right–all you will see on your statement are charges that were agreed upon before each hotel stay.

Imagine a world in which you don’t have to dread the thought of hidden charges exposing themselves after the stay has ALREADY happened. To us, it sounds like better business. This is a vital part of our pledge from CLS™– Accuracy!

We know that not everyone knows what to be on the lookout for when it comes to unauthorized charges from hotels. Basically, we are ready and willing to stop a hotel in their tracks when they attempt to charge us for any incidentals that were not originally agreed upon in the rate.

Here are some of the most common incidental charges hotels may try to smack on your bill:

-Safe fees: You may not even know there is a safe in your room to store your personal belongings. However, that won’t always keep you from being charged!
-Pet fees: Your hotel may be “pet friendly,” but that does not always mean Sparky can stay free of charge. We will only charge pet fees if they are agreed upon by our clients prior to making the reservation.
-Cancellation fees: Hotel’s cancellation policies vary by property. We are very mindful of this fact, and we always let our clients know if they will be charged a late cancellation fee before they receive the invoice.
-Internet fees: Here at CLS™, we know many of our clients view internet access as a necessity. While the majority of hotels offer free WiFi during your stay, you cannot take that amenity for granted. Some hotels may even let you access the internet without forewarning you of the charge. According to Skift, staying at a property with free internet access can typically save between $10 – $15/night. We update our system with every hotel’s latest amenity information, and we will let you know if there will be an extra charge for any of your required amenities. We don’t believe in surprise charges!

In one of our past blog stories spotlighting the notorious “Pink Pig,” program, we shared the many ways we save our clients money as the experts in the industry. 22% of the money we save our clients generally comes from refunding unauthorized room upgrades and correcting rates.

We go to bat for our clients and we take saving money very seriously around here. We are known for making sure hotels stick to their agreements. If an unauthorized charge pops up on one of our bills, we give you our word that it will be erased before it gets to your desk.

    I work at CLS, but I am not the person who manages hotel stays for our clients; however, I have seen numbers and have seen calls in action, where because we have an established relationship wtih a hotel, the hotel has quickly dismissed cacellation fees when clients have not been able to meet the cancellation policy requirements. Hotels are happy to w work with CLS to keep our clients happy. This company is definitely fantastic at building and maintaining relaitonships between clients and hotels.
